Bridge and Lock Operation in Winter<\/h2>\n

During the winter season, from November 1 to March 31, many bridges and locks in Friesland are operated remotely, and adjusted opening times apply.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd39 Free passage<\/strong> \u2013 A large part of Friesland is navigable without bridges or has a clearance height that allows you to pass without an opening.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd39 Limited operating hours<\/strong> \u2013 During the winter months, bridges and locks are only operated from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, there is no operation.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd39 Operation on request<\/strong> \u2013 Some bridges and locks are only opened on request. This means you must call at least two hours in advance to have the bridge opened at your desired time.<\/p>\n
