deWinter Maintenance and Refit Updates at Yachtcharter De Drait
Over the past winter months, the team at Yachtcharter De Drait has been busy performing maintenance and refits on our rental fleet at our own shipyards in Woudsend and Drachten. A large part of the fleet from Brandenburg, Drachten, and Woudsend was taken out of the water for painting and antifouling. This includes boats like the Renal 36, Safari Houseboat 10.50, and Deluxe 42 in Brandenburg, the Klompmaker Kotters, Classicline 1300, and Advantage 42 in Woudsend, and many more. Additionally, we have carried out major maintenance on several boats.
Below, we highlight some of our recent maintenance projects. Unfortunately, we can’t list everything, or this blog would get way too long (and maybe even a little boring 
)!
Vacance 1200 ‘Voyager’
Are you a fan of flybridges and looking for the ideal boat for a family vacation? Then the Voyager is the perfect choice! However, with its sturdy design, this boat is also great for groups of friends.
Returning to our fleet in Drachten, the Voyager has recently undergone a complete refit, both inside and out. It is the only flybridge in our fleet and can accommodate 6+2 people. The boat features three cabins, two showers, and two toilets.
The interior is fresh and modern, with a combination of white and wood accents, and thanks to the large windows, you’ll always have a great view outside. The salon is on the same level as the seating area, the separate dinette, the helm station, and the spacious kitchen. Through the sliding door, you step directly onto the generous aft deck, equipped with comfortable outdoor furniture and a staircase leading to the flybridge. The upper deck features a second helm station and a fixed bench – the perfect spot to enjoy a panoramic view while cruising.
The exterior has been repainted in a fresh blue color with a sleek white structure. Additionally, the shower floor and appliances have been replaced, and the entire floor has been renewed. Although the Voyager was built in 1992, the refit has brought it fully up to date with a fresh interior.
With its powerful Ford 135 HP engine, you won’t have to worry about performance on the water. The boat is also equipped with a Cupa electric bow and stern thruster, making maneuvering easy.

BunBo – The Perfect Houseboat for Nature Lovers
The BunBo is a popular houseboat with a Scandinavian look, ideal for nature lovers who also enjoy being on the water. With this boat, you can explore the surroundings of Drachten at a relaxed pace.
As soon as you leave our marina, you’ll enter a completely different world. Leave the hustle and bustle behind and discover breathtaking nature. Within an hour, you’ll reach the picturesque village of Earnewâld, located in the heart of De Alde Feanen National Park. Here, you can dock at various idyllic spots on the many small islands.
The BunBo is perfect for a vacation in nature. Cast a fishing line, take a refreshing dip in the water, or simply enjoy the tranquility.
New: The BunBo is currently in our maintenance hall, where we are installing a bow thruster to make docking even easier.
Engine Upgrade: The boat will now have two 9.9 HP outboard engines instead of a single 20 HP engine, ensuring greater reliability and more efficient propulsion.
Improved Power Supply: Additional solar panels from Victron will allow for a longer-lasting power supply onboard.
Once the upgrades are completed on BunBo I, we will also apply the same improvements to BunBo II.
Drait 83 – Bravoure 34 Twin
Our Bravoure 34 Twin ‘Drait 83’ has undergone maintenance both inside and out. In addition to various painting tasks, we have installed a new canopy, allowing you to fully enjoy your coffee at sunrise or a delicious snack and drink at sunset on the fixed bench at the rear deck.
Drait 42 – A Fresh Look for This Family Boat
The ‘Drait 42’ has received a brand-new color! This Renal 36 is a true family boat, accommodating up to six people with three cabins, two showers, and two toilets. The boat is stable in the water and maintains a steady course.
At 11 meters in length and equipped with a bow and stern thruster, this boat is highly maneuverable—ideal for docking in tight spaces or for those with little boating experience.
Over the past few weeks, our ship painters and technicians have carried out several maintenance tasks, including:
A fresh light gray paint job for a sleek, modern look. Anthracite-colored decks and a new railing cover for a polished finish. New antifouling on the underwater hull. Interior varnish work, including trim and engine hatch refinishing.

Our Valkkruiser 1350 ‘Blueflower’ has also undergone a refit this winter! The boat now has a fresh new color with a beautiful red waterline. Various interior improvements have also been made.
