Family getaway

A sailing holiday is an ideal getaway for the whole family: there is always something to do and see for everyone. Adventure and excitement for the (novice or experienced) skipper, peace for the nature lover, lots of new impressions for the little ones and especially lots of fun for everyone. Install yourself and your family on one of our boats (suitable for 2 to 14 persons), choose a beautiful route that suits your wishes and enjoy the peace and space in the beautiful green and water-rich environments of Friesland or Berlin-Brandenburg.

The boats

Our boats are suitable for 2 to 14 persons, and that means 1, 2 or sometimes even 3 families can fit on one boat. You decide how much privacy you prefer. For example, our larger boats, such as the Impression 1400, have 7 cabins. These boats have several toilets and showers on board. 

Many of our ships have a large aft deck, where everyone can sit comfortably and enjoy a snack and a drink. Refrigerators are available and you can bring as much food and drinks as you want. 

Does your family prefer to sail multiple boats at the same time? That is also possible. 

Activities and routes

The great thing about sailing with the whole family is that everyone can be involved in sailing. For example, have the children take a seat behind the steering wheel. Or knot the ropes, capture fenders and read the map together. In addition, you can easily park the boat in a beautiful spot in nature for a nice swim or to fish. It is also possible to book SUP boards or canoes extra.

Do you want to go ashore again? You can easily moor the boat in one of the many ports in the surrounding cities of our marinas. Visit a playground for example, or explore the city together.

Navigation licence & skipper training

You do not need a navigation licence to rent our boats. Also, you will find plenty of beautiful licence-free sailing routes in the vicinity of our marinas in Drachten (Friesland, the Netherlands) and Brandenburg (Berlin, Germany). Does none of your family have sailing experience and would you like to gain some experience before sailing off? In that case, we would advise you to have at least one person in the group do a skipper training in advance. This is of course also possible if you have already sailed before, when you would like to gain some extra experience. More information about the skipper training can be found here.
