New operating hours for bridges & locks in Friesland

Good news! The province of Fryslân and the municipalities have jointly decided to adjust the operating hours of bridges and locks in Friesland as of 1 May. With this they want to limit the crowds at peak times and ensure a better traffic flow. This decision will improve safety on the water. Thanks to the new operating hours, the long-awaited water sports season will finally start.

From May 1th the watersport season will finally start. The bridges and locks in Friesland will be open for recreational craft according to the times below. Here too, there are a number of bridges that are open longer. The complete list of opening hours from May 1th is available on the province’s website.
